Privacy policy

Updated 28 September 2026.

This policy covers spearheadmedia.com and the Spearhead Creators Store at spearheadcreatorsstore.com, both run by Spearhead Media LLC ("we", "us"), a photo and video production company based in San Diego, California. Questions go to info@spearheadmedia.com.

What we collect

  • What you send us. When you fill in the quote form: your name, email, phone number, company, project type, budget and message (and for a real estate listing, if you choose to give them, the listing's address, square footage and list price), plus whether you asked for our newsletter or for texts about your project.
  • What you buy. When you buy from the Creators Store: your email, name and what you bought. Card details go straight to Stripe and never reach us.
  • How you got here. The page you first landed on, the site that sent you, and any campaign tags on the link (such as utm_source), so we know which ads and posts work. Ad click IDs (gclid from Google, fbclid from Meta) are kept only if you allow Marketing cookies.
  • What your browser tells every site. Your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you view.

Booking a real estate shoot happens on ShootDeck (book.spearheadmedia.com), which has its own terms and privacy notice. Our Book links, including the one in the email we send after the quote form, pass ShootDeck the campaign tags above (click IDs only with Marketing cookies allowed) and any listing details you gave us, so the booking starts filled in.

How we use it

  • To answer your inquiry, quote and schedule your project, and deliver what you bought.
  • To send the newsletter or project texts, only if you ticked the box for them. Every email has an unsubscribe link; reply STOP to any text to stop them.
  • To see which of our ads and posts bring people to us, as described below, only if you allow it.
  • To keep the site secure and working.

Meta Pixel and the Conversions API

If you allow Marketing cookies (by choosing Accept all on our cookie banner, or by turning Marketing on in Your privacy choices), we use the Meta Pixel, a small script from Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook and Instagram), and we send the same events to Meta from our own server through Meta's Conversions API. Each event is sent once from your browser and once from our server with a shared ID, and Meta counts it once.

The events are: pages viewed, work and product pages viewed, taps on our phone number or email address, quote form submissions, and in the Creators Store, adding to cart, starting checkout and completing a purchase (with the amount). With them we send your IP address, browser details and Meta's own cookie IDs. When you have given us your email, phone or name (in the quote form or at checkout), we send those too, but only as one-way SHA-256 hashes, which Meta uses to match the event to an account without us sending the details in readable form.

Meta uses this to measure our ads and to show them to people likely to be interested. Meta's own use of the data is covered by Meta's privacy policy, and you can change what ads you see from Meta in your Meta ad preferences.

If you choose Only necessary, leave Marketing off, or your browser sends Global Privacy Control, the pixel never loads and our server sends Meta nothing about your visit.

Google

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site and the store are used: pages viewed, how visitors arrive, quote requests, and store activity such as items viewed, added to the cart and bought (with the order amount). The Google tag is only loaded when you allow Analytics; until then nothing is sent to Google from this site. Google's advertising features only run when you also allow Marketing. The same measurement follows a visit between spearheadmedia.com and spearheadcreatorsstore.com. Google's use of the data is covered by Google's privacy policy.

Cookies

Our cookie banner groups cookies three ways:

  • Necessary keeps the site working and is always on: a session cookie (your cart, form security) and sh_consent, which remembers your choices for a year.
  • Analytics helps us see how the site is used: Google Analytics cookies (_ga and similar), only if you allow it.
  • Marketing lets us and our partners show you more relevant content and ads: Meta's _fbp and _fbc cookies and the events described above, only if you allow it.

You can change your choices at any time from Your privacy choices, which is in the footer of every page.

Who else handles your information

We use a small set of providers to run the business, each only for its part:

  • GoHighLevel, our customer records and messaging system, which receives quote form submissions and sends our emails and texts.
  • Stripe, which takes payments in the Creators Store.
  • Meta, as described above, only with your consent.
  • Vimeo and YouTube, which play the films embedded on our pages.
  • Our hosting, file storage and email delivery providers.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Mobile numbers and text message consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

Inquiries and client records are kept while we are working together and for as long as we reasonably need them afterward for our records. Order records are kept as tax law requires. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, and you can withdraw consent for tracking, emails or texts whenever you like. Email info@spearheadmedia.com and we will reply within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights.

California: do not sell or share my personal information

We do not sell personal information for money. When you allow Marketing cookies, though, Meta receives the identifiers and activity described above (IP address, browser details, Meta cookie IDs, hashed email, phone and name, the pages you view, the actions you take and store purchases) and uses them to show ads, including on its own platforms. The California Consumer Privacy Act calls that sharing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and some readings of the law treat it as a sale.

You can opt out of this sale or sharing at any time: open Your privacy choices and turn Marketing off, which is our "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" control. It takes effect immediately and stays in place for a year on that browser. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a valid opt-out, with nothing more for you to do. California residents also have the right to know what we collect and why, to see, correct and delete it, and to limit our use of sensitive information (we do not collect any). We keep each kind of information only as long as described in "How long we keep it" above. You can also make any of these requests by emailing info@spearheadmedia.com, or through someone you authorize to act for you.

Children

This site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Our terms and conditions cover everything else about using the site and the store.
